ANNOUNCEMENT OF VACANT POSITIONS UNDER CONTRACT OF SERVICE

FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATIVE DIVISION

Position: One (1) Project Assistant II
Monthly Rate:  Php 24,262.80 (SG-10)
Qualification Standard:

  • Education: Graduate of any 4-year course preferably in Management or Psychology
  • Experience: Two (2) years of relevant experience
  • Training: At least eight (8) hours of relevant training
  • Other Qualifications:
    • Must be knowledgeable in computer office applications(MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Powerpoint)
    • Must have good oral and written communication skills;
    • Must be efficient in time management, can multi-task, flexible and can work with minimal supervision;
    • Must satisfy core competency requirements as follows:
      • Exemplifying Integrity;
      • Delivering Service Excellence; and
      • Solving Problems and Making Decision

Statement of Duties:

  1. Assist in packaging in-house training programs for SEI employees and coordinate external trainings, seminars, conferences, etc. of SEI employees with identified training institutions;
  2. Monitor the timely submission of employee's requirements and records such as Individual Performance Commitment and Review (IPCR)-Targets and Accomplishments, Personnel Data Sheet(PDS), Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Networth(SALN), etc.
  3. Make arrangement for advertising or posting of job vacancies;
  4. Assist in the conduct of preliminary examinations and preparation of documents needed in the Human Resource Merit and Selection Board meeting;
  5. Maintain human resources information and related records system;
  6. Daily monitor the responses of the employees at the Health Check Declaration to ensure that all those reporting at work are in excellent shape and that no one is exhibiting any of the symptoms of the COVID-19 diseases;
  7. Verify the causes and suggest medical and practical measures for the employee's COVID-like symptoms;
  8. Assist in the initial assessment of applicants, such as receive and review the completeness of requirements submitted by applicants, and conduct of initial interview;
  9. Prepare database of applicant's information;
  10. Perform liason work; and
  11. Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Position: One (1) Project Assistant III
Monthly Rate: Php 29,394.00 (SG-12)
Qualification Standard

  • Education: Graduate of any 4-year course
  • Experience: Two (2) years of relevant experience, preferably with accounting background
  • Training: At least eight (8) hours of relevant training
  • Other Qualifications:
    • Must be knowledgeable in MS Office, Word or Access;
    • With knowledge in procurement and its laws (i.e RA 9184) is an advantage;
    • Efficient in time management, can multi-task, flexible, can work under time pressure and with minimal supervision
    • With good communication skills; and
    • Willing to be trained

Statement of Duties:

  1. Canvass and purchase supplies, materials and services on emergency basis;
  2. Assigned number to approved Purchase Requests (PRs);
  3. Encode all items included in the approved PR to the Procurement Database (Excel file);
  4. Update Monitoring Database every after successful procurement conducted;
  5. Prepare Purchase Order (PO) and other Contract based on approved PRs;
  6. Establish, maintain and upload scanned copy of approved PRs to share file through LAN;
  7. Consolidate quotations, prepare Abstract of Bids and facilitate signature by the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) Members and forward consolidated documents to the BAC Secretariat for preparation of BAC Resolution;and
  8. Assist in the receipt of deliveries.

S&T SCHOLARSHIP DIVISION

Position: One (1) Project Assistant II
Monthly Rate: 24, 262.80 (SG-10)
Qualification Standard:

  • Education: Graduate of any 4-year course preferably in Accounting/Finance/ Management
  • Experience: One (1) year of relevant experience
  • Training: Eight (8) hours relevant training
  • Other Qualifications:
    • Must have good oral and written communication skills;
    • Must be efficient in time management;
    • Must be detail-oriented;
    • Must be result-driven, flexible and can work under time pressure with minimal supervision;
    • With knowledge in computer office applications (MS Word, MS Excel, Powerpoint);
    • Must satisfy core competency requirements as follows:
      • Exemplify Integrity;
      • Delivering Service Excellence; and
      • Solving Problems and Making Decision

Statement of Duties:

  1. Assist in the implementation of the DOST-SEI S&T Scholarship Programs;
  2. Maintain a monitoring sheet that shall reflect all the financial assistance received by the scholars;
  3. Process release of financial assistance of scholars in accordance with the approved line-item-budget and subject to the existing government accounting and auditing rules and regulations;
  4. Process release of hazard and special risk allowances of Researchers working in COVID-19 related projects under the Career Incentive Program;
  5. Assist in the preparation of Line-Item Budget including evaluation of request for realignment;
  6. Assist in the preparation of financial reports of the various scholarship programs;
  7. Provide technical assistance in the implementation of the other STSD activities; and
  8. Perform other functions that may be assigned by the Project Leader from time to time.

Statement of Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Assist in the implementation of the DOST-SEI S&T Scholarship Programs;
  2. Compile feedback and complaint forms, encode the same and generate report thereof;
  3. Assist in the evaluation, coordination and collation of reports related to COVID-19 initiatives;
  4. Manage the official e-mail address of the Division including its social network account;
  5. Draft correspondence, messages, and speeches;
  6. Provide technical assistance in the implementation of other STSD activities; and
  7. Perform other functions that may be assigned by the Project Leader from time to time.

    • Must be result-driven, flexible and can work under time pressure with minimal supervision;
    • Must be detail-oriented and knowledgeable in data analysis;
    • With knowledge in computer office applications (MS Word, MS Excel, Powerpoint);

Statement of Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Assist in the implementation of the DOST-SEI S&T Scholarship Programs;
  2. Assist in the preparation of statistical reports generated from the implementation of the various scholarship programs including COVID-19;
  3. Undertake data gathering activities related to project and program implementation;
  4. Consolidate monthly accomplishment report and ISO functional objectives report;
  5. Provide technical assistance in the implementation of other STSD activities; and
  6. Perform other functions that may be assigned by the Project Leader from time to time.

  • Education: Graduate of a degree in Computer Science or Computer Programming
  • Experience: One (1) year of relevant experience in programming
  • Training: Eight (8) hours relevant training
  • Other Qualifications:
    • Must have good IT skills;
    • Must be end-user oriented;
    • Must be efficient in time management;
    • Must be result-driven, flexible and can work under time pressure with minimal supervision;
    • Must have advance knowledge in operating systems;
    • Must have an aptitude for learning new technology;
    • Must satisfy core competency requirements as follows:

Statement of Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Assist in the development and deployment of new systems for use in the implementation of the DOST-SEI S&T Scholarship Programs;
  2. Assist in crafting system requirements specification in consultation with the end-user;
  3. Maintain comprehensive documentation of system development;
  4. Resolve end-user's issues and concerns related to the developed systems;
  5. Undertake project monitoring activities related to systems development and prepare periodic reports thereof;
  6. Provide technical assistance in the implementation of other STSD activities; and
  7. Perform other functions that may be assigned by the Project Leader from time to time.

  1. Assist in the implementation of the DOST-SEI S&T Scholarship Programs;
  2. Undertake project monitoring activities of the division and prepare periodic reports thereof;
  3. Monitor and evaluate the academic performance of the scholars based on the existing policies and guidelines;
  4. Prepare letters, memoranda and correspondence related to project implementation;
  5. Assist in the conduct of committee meetings, evaluation of programs and universities and other related activities;
  6. Provide technical assistance in the implementation of other STSD activities; and
  7. Perform other functions that may be assigned by the Project Leader from time to time.
