Scholarship and Training Division (STD)

• Develops a critical mass of quality science and technology manpower by implementing degree and non-degree scholarship program to man the country's development efforts.
• Undertakes programs for the dispersal and exchange of S & T expertise in priority programs of the government, industry and academic institutions.
• Implements programs/projects for the utilization of young and outstanding graduates of science and technology through actual involvement in scientific and technological activities in the country.
• Formulates policies, develops systems and procedures for the effective implementation of S and T manpower development programs.

Science and Technology Manpower Assessment Division (STMAD)

• Identifies and forecast qualitative and quantitative scientific manpower requirements and career opportunities in the different sectors of the economy.
• Conducts research studies to determine priority areas in science and technology education development.
• Undertakes constant assessment of internal and external environmental conditions relevant to more reponsive S & T manpower education development programs.
• Establishes policies,plans and programs in S & T manpower assessment.

Science and Technology Education Division (STED)

• Implements programs for institution building and rationalization by developing faculty, curriculum, science laboratory facilities and library holdings with emphasis on higher education.
• Upgrades the quality of science education geared to the development needs of the regions in cooperation with relevant private and public agencies.
• Develops and maintains linkages with academic institutions both local and foreign for the development of S & T education.
  Evaluates project proposals for assistance in the development of S & T education programs.
• Formulates policies, plans and programs in developing science and technology education.

Finance and Administrative Division (FAD)

• Provides the Institute with economical, efficient and effective support services relating to personnel, information, records, supplies and materials, equipment, collection and disbursements, budgetary estimates and requirements, and security and custodial works.
