Philippine Mathematical Olympiad
 |
Mathematically gifted youth in the secondary schools
are identified through a competition carried out
from the division to the national level. The Philippine
Mathematical Olympiad or PMO motivates the youth
to hone their talents in mathematics and participate
in international competitions such as the International
Mathematics Olympiad (IMO), Australian Mathematics
Competition (AMC) and the Asian Pacific Mathematics
Olympiad. |
Philippine Physics Olympiad
 |
High school students who excel in Physics compete
in this national competition after besting their
counterparts in the division and regional levels.
Selected participants get the chance to train in
advanced Physics through the Program for Excellence
in Physics. The best performers represent the country
in the International Physics Olympiad. |
Intel Philippine Science Fair
An annual national search for outstanding youth science
projects jointly sponsored by Intel Philippines and
SEI. It aims to tap the cream of the crop among the
science-inclined youth all over the country. The top
winners from the elementary, secondary and tertiary
categories are selected. Some of the winners get the
chance to represent the country in international youth
science competitions such as the Intel International
Science and Engineering Fair or ISEF.

National Science Club Month Celebration
 |
This is an annual month-long celebration during
September which gives the active science clubs
throughout the country the opportunity to engage
in meaningful and productive activities that promote
awareness, interests and involvement of the youth
in science and technology. Community-based and/or
school-based projects are undertaken both by the
science clubs and their recognized federation
the Philippine Society of Youth Science
Clubs or PSYSC. The Institute undertakes activities
to motivate youth involvement in S&T and provides
technical and financial assistance to the science
clubs.
