Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with FAD personnel and Unit Heads to obtain an understanding of the processes and the documentation requirements;
  2. Write the content of the different FAD processes that meet the needs of the target audiences;
  3. Conduct thorough fact-checks before submitting any work;
  4. Ensure the logical flow of all writing; and
  5. Attend feedback sessions and make revisions suggested by the unit heads for finalization.

Quality Standards

  • Education: Bachelor's degree maj. in Writing, Communication, Language

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Act as IT administrator and programmer for the proposed systems of FAD Units;
  2. Work on the development of Budget Management System, Cashier Online Collection System, Inventory System, Procurement System, and Human Resource Management Information System;
  3. Update, monitor, and maintain databases of the FAD System;
  4. Setup and maintenance of servers (Information System and Database);
  5. Maintain monthly backup of FAD Systems and Databases;
  6. Prepare quarterly updates of the documentation and reports for the developed/maintained FAD Systems (User's Manual, Technical Documentation, Status Reports, etc.);
  7. Troubleshoot assigned computers in the FAD Units; and
  8. Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Quality Standards

  1. Develop information systems as per approved Information Systems (IS) Strategic Plan (ISSP) necessary for the efficient operation of the various programs, projects, and administrative functions of the Institute;
  2. Update, monitor, and maintain the Databases (DB) of the Institute generated through the use of the IS developed;
  3. Set up and maintain IS and DB servers of the Institute;
  4. Assist in the maintenance of the official SEI website;
  5. Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of workstations, and conduct preventive maintenance (PM) as scheduled ;

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Prepare continuity scripts, press releases, publications, lecture content, social media and web content, and STEM education presentations;
  2. Provide creative inputs for the development of content for STEM modules, and other publicity and promotional materials;
  3. Prepare a strategic communication plan for the division and institute. Assists in the planning, coordination, and implementation of the public information dissemination activities of the agency under the direct supervision of the Division Chief.
  4. Answer inquiries and correspondence from the public concerning the institute's activities. Assists in the coordination of information programs with other concerned agencies and organizations.
  5. Coordination with media agencies for syndication of press releases and media interviews of SEI Official's/media coverage of SEI-wide events;
  6. Prepare a report on newsprint monitoring, broadcast media, and social media.
  7. Prepare a draft annual report of the Promotions Unit in coordination with the respective project leaders. Performs other tasks as may be assigned.

  1. Write and/or edit articles in a simple yet comprehensive format and must be able to conduct research and interview.
  2. Write and/or edit speeches/messages of DOST-SEI Officials for STEM Promotions events.
  3. Write and/or edit AVP and event continuity scripts for STEM Promotions events.
  4. Provide creative input for the development of information, education, and communication materials for STEM Promotions events.
  5. Assist in the development of social media content and management of social media page/s of the Promotions Unit.
  6. Assist in the preparation of the strategic communication plan of the Division and Institute
  7. Perform other functions that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor from time to time.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications or Science-related courses

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Prepares and implements STEM Modules for pre-school and primary grade school students;
  2. Assists in the preparation for the implementation of STEM modules of Science Explorer and NuLab, including procurement and inventory of supplies;
  3. Assists in the coordination/scheduling of facilitators of Science Explorer and NuLab;
  4. Assists in the production and printing of Science Explorer and NuLab Compendium of STEM modules;
  5. Assists in the actual implementation of Science Explorer and NuLab activities and other programs/projects related to STEM promotions;
  6. Undertakes data gathering and processing relative to the division programs and projects; and
  7. Assists in other special projects and perform other related tasks as may be required.

Science Education Innovation Division

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Assist in the coordination and monitoring of the Innovations Unit (IU) projects;
  2. Assist in the coordination activities of all the projects of the IU;
  3. Assist in the preparation of reports of the IU;
  4. Encode and process data as needed;
  5. Assist in maintaining files and processing data as needed;
  6. Prepare requests for supplies, reimbursements, and other office permits and requirements;
  7. Attend to requests of Project Leaders and Division Chief as needed; and
  8. Perform other duties as may be assigned.

  • Education: Preferably Bachelor's degree in Development Communication, Information Technology or other related courses
