ANNOUNCEMENT OF VACANT POSITIONS UNDER CONTRACT OF SERVICE

OFFICE OF THE DIRECTOR - PLANNING UNIT

Position: One (1) Science Research Specialist I

Monthly Rate: Php 32,104.80 (SG-13)

Qualification Standard:

  • Education: Completion of four-year studies in college, preferably Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or any related courses
  • Training: Forty (40) hours training in any programming language and database
  • Experience: One (1) year of relevant experience
  • Other Qualifications: 
    • Must be creative and innovative
    • Must have an excellent Oral and Communication Skills
    • Must have good Analytical skills
    • Must be detail-oriented
    • Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Must have a strong ability to concentrate and focus
    • Must be result driven, have ability to work under pressure and can meet required deadlines
    • Must satisfy core competencies as follows:
      • Exemplifying Integrity;
      • Delivering Service Excellence; and
      • Solving Problems and Making Decisions

Statement of Duties:

  1. Documentation of business requirements;
  2. Development of GAD information system using technologies approved by the Science Education Institute-Science Technology Manpower Education Research and Promotions Division- Management Information System Unit (STMERPD-MISU);
  3. Installation of software and platform to run the system;
  4. Creation, design and optimization of relational database;
  5. Development of user interface design and dashboard for whole system;
  6. Ensure extensibility of system through API;
  7. Conduct trainings and user-acceptance testing for users and administrators;
  8. Preparation of software documentations;
  9. Preparation of Progress Report throughout the project;
  10. Migration of existing data to the system;
  11. Provision of support for bug fixes and enhancement of application,if necessary;
  12. Conduct secuirty requirements such as penetration testing and other security related testing;
  13. Enhancement of SEI GAD web page and Facebook page;
  14. Conduct regular check-up to ensure that system maintenance procedures are followed; and
  15. Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Position: One (1) Project Technical Assistant IV

Monthly Rate: Php 35,132.40 (SG-14)

Qualification Standard:

Education: Completion of four-year studies in college, preferably Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or any related courses

Experience: One (1) year of relevant experience

Other Qualifications:

  • Must be creative and innovative
  • Must have an excellent Oral and Communication Skills
