Finance and Administrative Division

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and control the various activities and functions of the Budget Unit for effective deployment of the agency resources;
  • Supervise, review and participate in the preparation and compilation of financial data needed in formulation of annual budget;
  • Attend series of budget hearings and meetings to analyze trends affecting budget needs;
  • Coordinate budgetary and fiscal activities of the agency with DOST and DBM for any changes and new trend in budgeting process;
  • Allocate and monitor budget utilization/obligations and control expenditures of funds in accordance with the government budgeting rules;
  • Coordinate with different divisions the budget allocation to ensure that any changes and adjustments on their respective budgets are made in accordance with the agency programs.
  • Prepare and submit budget proposals, financial reports and other budgetary reports to address regulatory requirements for timely submission to various government agencies; and
  • Perform such other duties that may be assigned from time to time for the effective and efficient delivery of the services of the Institute.

Qualification Standards

  • Education: Bachelor's degree relevant to the job
  • Training: Eight  (8) hours of relevant training
  • Experience: Two (2) years of relevant experience

Science Education and Innovations Division

Division/Position Tile: Senior Science Research Specialist

Salary Grade: 19

Annual Salary: ₱579,756.00

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize, implement and manage specialized trainings in science and mathematics education for capacity-building;
  • Assist in the review and revision of operational procedures and processes for the implementation of projects of the Division;
  • Establish and maintain linkages, local and international, with relevant sectors and instituttions for collaborative undertakings in science education;
  • Prepare technical and financial reports related to implementation and monitoring of projects of the Unit;
  • Must satisfy the core competencies:

    • and Solving Problems and Making Decisions.
